Boneyard — Terms of Use

Effective date: July 13, 2026 · Provider: MinMax Strategies LLC (Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA)

The short version. Boneyard is an educational hunting reference, not professional advice. Hunting is inherently dangerous — you assume that risk. The app and its content are provided "as is," with no warranties, and our liability is limited to what you paid for the app. Always verify current regulations with your state wildlife agency (DNR).

By downloading, installing, or using Boneyard: Whitetail Manual (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Age requirement

The App references firearms, archery equipment, and blood/anatomy content in an educational context and is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, review these Terms with a parent or guardian before using the App.

Educational purpose — not professional advice

The App is an educational reference guide about white-tailed deer and deer hunting. It is not professional advice of any kind and is not a substitute for:

Assumption of risk

Hunting and its associated activities — discharging firearms and bows, climbing and using treestands, handling knives and broadheads, navigating rough terrain and cold or water hazards, and processing and eating wild game — are inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. You use the App and undertake these activities entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for acting safely, lawfully, ethically, and within the limits of your own skill, equipment, and physical condition.

Content accuracy and how it was made

App content was compiled and written with the assistance of AI tools and drawn from cited public and scientific sources, then organized for hunters. We strive for accuracy and label claims as peer-reviewed, field-observation, or experience-based, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free. Science, best practices, and regulations evolve. Verify anything you rely on against primary sources and your state agency.

"As is" — no warranties

The App and its content are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MinMax Strategies LLC and its owner will not be liable for any injury, death, loss, or damages — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App or its content, or your reliance on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, decompile, or create derivative works from the App or its content.

Intellectual property

The App, its original text and design, the Boneyard name, and the Boneyard logo are the property of MinMax Strategies LLC and its owner and are protected by law. Third-party names, marks, and sources referenced in the App (e.g. state agencies, the National Deer Association, USGS, CDC, USDA) belong to their respective owners; their mention is factual citation and does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship. Bundled fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MinMax Strategies LLC, its owner, and its contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at the email below so we can try to resolve the dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for misuse of intellectual property. There is no right or authority for any dispute to be brought as a class, consolidated, or representative action. Venue for any non-arbitrable matter is Kent County, Michigan.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms (together with our Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and shown in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
